=D I can't wait to show this on the Project Forums!!! [[footnoteblock]] |
It has autoscrolling too! [[footnoteblock]] |

Hello? Does anybody want to Chatdot? I mean, Wikiroom? [[footnoteblock]] |
Another test [[footnoteblock]] |

And another test [[footnoteblock]] |

Gobble blah! [[footnoteblock]] |

James, this is awesome! XD All that I can see that needs fixing so far is the width of each reply. Now :: how the heck did you do this? :o [[footnoteblock]] |
Nice hack :-D [[footnoteblock]] |
James… I can't believe my eyes [[footnoteblock]] |
now if you can just use the simplified editor CSS to remove that toolbar :-) [[footnoteblock]] |
Ha! 10,000 people chatting at once! That's funny!
Sure thing :D I think 20 seconds to refresh is a bit too much. I think I'll change it to 30sec (twice per minute). [[footnoteblock]] |
Control+S works too! [[footnoteblock]] |
Minimalistic editor: activated [[footnoteblock]] |
I wonder if I can enable comments in my comment… [[footnoteblock]] |
/me is wondering how to improve this wonderful thing you've made, James [[footnoteblock]] |
I can think of only a few things:
Probably not possible to fix all of these. But the chat is great… we should use this in Wikidot. [[footnoteblock]] |
When this is out of a drafted stage… it should replace this IRC chat [[footnoteblock]] |
Agreed. This is so much better. Follow the chat online, by email, or as a web forum! [[footnoteblock]] |
Brilliant! And I think this goes to show: anything is possible with wikidot! [[footnoteblock]] |
That's the spirit! Even with Wikidot's limitations, it has unlimited capacities! [[footnoteblock]] |
Brilliant Idea James. PS: I looked through your codes, neat! :-) [[footnoteblock]] |
@tsang, Thanks man!
I've just had a brainwave, and I think I know how this could work [[footnoteblock]] |
Well, it works now XD [[footnoteblock]] |
1 & 3 are fixed. 2 & 4 can be fixed here
How dare you doubt Wikidot? I am proud to contradict you! [[footnoteblock]] |
[[footnoteblock]] |
I don't think you're still there. [[footnoteblock]] |
Although there are plenty of chat packages which can be embedded I like the idea of having a solution based on wikidot. Good work James. [[footnoteblock]] |
It would be good to have a sidebar showing who's logged in. I have NO idea how this would be accomplished but food for thought anyway :-) [[footnoteblock]] |
ooops, forgot to login. That was me :-D [[footnoteblock]] |
knowing that some one is actually there is a major stumbling block. [[footnoteblock]] |
when i added this post i noticed edge quantserve loading. anyone know what that is? [[footnoteblock]] |
one for luck [[footnoteblock]] |
I'm just testing whether it reloads after I create a new page… [[footnoteblock]] |
Yes, that works nicely! Still two things that bother me:
[[footnoteblock]] |
Forget it, this just turns it back into a forum. Ideally it should refresh only when someone adds a comment. [[footnoteblock]] |
In theory, I could have a count-down timer to refresh, and you can click a link that says “extend refresh time”. It could even turn red in the last 5 seconds or so. Also, we can have the Wikidot login-thing if you want. Actually, this whole thing should be on a normal wiki page. I'll do that now and see what you guys think. [[footnoteblock]] |
Check out this chatroom and see what you think. I don't know why I had it the other way, now that I think about it. [[footnoteblock]] |
Testing [[footnoteblock]] |
Second test (the first one failed) [[footnoteblock]] |
Third test [[footnoteblock]] |
Fourth test (sorry guys who are watching the site) [[footnoteblock]] |
Fifth test [[footnoteblock]] |
Okay, it works now, but it's hardcoded (which I don't like) [[footnoteblock]] |
See, not that it's on a normal wiki page, you can log in in the top-right corner of this site. [[footnoteblock]] |
I've just had a 37 minute chat with myself.
